Using ChatGPT and AI to Grow a Small Business Around Catford
ChatGPT is useful for drafting and thinking, less useful as a front desk. Here is how to tell which job you have, and what we found when we asked it about Catford.
To use ChatGPT and AI to grow a small business in south-east London, use ChatGPT for drafting and ideas, and use a built system for repeat jobs like replying, following up and reminding. Dean Keating builds those systems remotely from Horndean, Hampshire. Call or WhatsApp 07418 627304.

Two different tools
ChatGPT is a conversation. You ask, it answers, you decide. It is good for drafting a reply, rewording a menu, summarising a long email or thinking through an idea.
A built AI system is a process. It runs without being asked, every time a message arrives. It is the better tool for anything repetitive: answering the same enquiry, chasing the same quote, sending the same reminder.
Many owners start with the first and later realise they want the second.
A fish and chip shop, for example
Catford.co lists 5 fish and chip shops (counted 10 October 2026). The owner could use ChatGPT to write a Facebook post about new opening hours in a couple of minutes. That is a good use. The same owner would not want to paste every customer message into ChatGPT by hand. For that, the answer has to come from something connected to the messages.
Being found by ChatGPT
People ask ChatGPT questions like "best fish and chips in Catford". We tested this: on 10 October 2026 we put eight everyday Catford questions, covering takeaways, pubs, restaurants, cafes, barbers, dentists, the recycling centre and the market, to OpenAI's model with web search. This site was not cited in any of the eight. That is one day's result from one method, and answers vary between people and days, so do not read more into it than that.
You can improve the odds of being found by keeping clear, accurate pages about your business. We cannot promise a result.
Where Dean Keating fits
He builds the second kind of tool. His website describes AI agents installed in the tools you already use, doing the jobs a person would otherwise do at a computer: quick first replies, following up, quotes, diary booking, routine questions, reminders, invoices and a weekly report. He trains your team and supports it, and it is not a course.
Process and place
A free call, an audit, the build and install, then training and support. He starts with one task. He is in Horndean, Hampshire, works remotely, and says he can visit businesses in Hampshire or nearby.
